What other ways to rebuild if Raid degraded and cannot boot to OS?

Hi,

We had a system with Raid 10 (Intel RST ROM 16.5.0.3487) configuration using 4 HDDs.

Unfortunately, we found 1 of the HDD is faulty.

We replaced it with a new HDD and the Raid ROM show it can only rebuild within the Operating system. But the issue is , the system will get recovery mode when we tried to boot up the system.

Thus, is there other ways to rebuild if system cannot boot to the OS?

I am sorry to hear what happened to your RAID10. Try checking the Recovery methods listed in the Intel® RST installation and user guide, page 173.

This just goes to show, don't use a RST-based RAID array (other than RAID 1) as your boot device.
