Windows 10 error message about upgrading RST driver. Not finding it.

I have Windows 10 version 1803 and get the error message about upgrading RST driver. I followed the directions to find the device driver version in Device Manager. I only show one option under 'IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers' as follows:  Intel(R) 100 Series/C230 Chipset Family SATA ACHI Controller which is at version 15.2.0 1020 dated 9/13/2016. When checking for the latest it says I have the best. Does all this mean I do not have the RST driver and should be able to upgrade Windows 10

No, it does not. Intel RST is installed separately; typically on platforms that support RAID or utilize an Optane Memory module. If you are not using RAID and not using an Optane Module, you should simply uninstall Intel RST. To do so, look for entries in the Apps & Features applet related to Intel Rapid Storage or Intel Optane and delete all of these packages. After rebooting, you should then be able to proceed with the Windows update. You can, if you wish, reinstall Intel RST after performing this update.

Hope this helps,
