Just wanted to report that there may be something funky happening with the storage controllers, as my device manager is reporting "SATA AHCI" even though BIOS RAID has been configured.
Similar happened in 1511, however, back then it actually caused the drives to be unreadable.
The RAID array is currently OK, but normally should not be.
I'll take clips later and post

NeoBeum: Thank you for sharing those pictures.
In regard to your question, yes, that could be a possibility and in that case what we recommend first of all is to back up any important data you might have on the PC of and then to un-install the Intel® RST application from control panel and re-install it again.
You can always try to install Intel® RST version 14.8.16.1063:

Hi
I will be building a new system image for 1803 - there is something not quite right with Windows' Component Cleanup because the drivers are being changed, removed and reordered or ignored.
I'm not sure if I can be bothered reporting this information to Microsoft as it's been an issue since launch.

NeoBeum: Thank you very much for providing that information.
Perfect, take your time, please let us know the results of trying the new system image.
And yes, you can always submit this inquiry to Microsoft support web site, they might be able to provide further insights on this subject:

NeoBeum: Thank you very much for letting us know those results.
In this case the next thing to do will be to report this problem to Microsoft directly or to get in contact directly with the manufacturer of the computer so they can provide the proper Intel® RST version for your system and further suggestion son this matter.

Now I remember why I stopped using Feedback Hub.... because of moronic crap like this:
They want to be able to flag issues better... they can't even get their categories and 'problem types' right for users to post in an appropriate category...
Hmmm... Windows fails to reinstall...

I found that Windows had reconfigured the BIOS during the 1809 Feature Update from 1803.
Changing the SATA settings back to RAID changed the device drivers - however - I still have no idea - how the RAID array was still readable with the AHCI drivers.
There is something seriously wrong with Windows.
I had previously named the disks (and have been since 1511 - for all devices... even everything in HID) for this very reason.
In this current screenshot - the disks reverted back to the original names prior to update. The only thing that hasn't been rectified is the disk enumeration.
The 'View Hidden Devices' is enabled and the previous hardware configuration devices are visible.
The NVMe disk was originally the first disk - disk 0. However it is now the last disk. I thought this was fixed in 1703-1709-1803 - however this latest update seems to have gone backwards for many things.

The update shouldn't be changing hardware configuration though.
I'll see if Microsoft have any idea why the update is doing this
