which version should I have?

I'm running Windows 10 Pro x64 on an HP Z230 workstation. Part of he IRST report is attached to the bottom of this message.

The System Report says I am running IRST kit 15.8.1.1007. What I have is working fine, but I need to get the Windows F6 disk that matches the driver version I'm running This version is no longer available for download although a version 15.9 is.

Should I update to the 15.9 drivers? A different version?

And where do I find the download for the F6 disk?

    Thanks

Hello pls2000

After checking this further, we would like to inform you that when running Intel® Optane™ Memory and Storage Management application or Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) on a system with a Server-based Chipset like the HP Z230 workstation (Intel C226 chipset), the support for these scenarios and for Server-Chipset systems should be through the original computer manufacturer (OEM). In this case, our recommendation is to address this inquiry to your OEM HP* which is the proper channel of support. Thank you for your understanding.

Here is the HP* support link: https://support.hp.com/us-en

That's interesting, because it was this forum that told me to run the version I now have.

Can you at least tell me where to get the Windows F6 disk for IRST 15.8?

Closest I could find is 15.9.8.1050, which you can download from here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28997/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-User-Interface-and-Driver?product=55005. This should be close enough that you can load the drivers and still use the runtime. If not, the files for upgrading RST to 15.9 are there as well.

Hope this helps,

...S

Hello pls2000

Thank you for your response.

The information provided by n_scott_pearson is correct meaning that we offer Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) version 15.9.8.1050. The other version you are looking for (15.8) is not even on our Download Center.

If more assistance is required, our recommendation is to check this further with your OEM due to the reason previously provided: System with a Server Chipset. For this scenario, your OEM is the proper channel of support.

We will proceed to close this thread now from our end; however, communications with community peers can continue in case they have additional suggestions. If you need any other information, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer being monitored.
