Intel Raid Web console 2 dispalys Operating System as Unknown, and Health as Needs Login.

We recently deployed a new VMWare ESX1 6.0 host, and when testing in house the raid controller showed the Operating system, and the health of the raid card as optimal. Now when we look at it after the host is discovered we see Operating System Unknown, and Health as Needs Login. I have attached the picture of what we see. I can still login to the controller when prompted with the credentials. The controller is a RS3DC080. Thanks in advance for any suggestions on how to resolve this.

Regards

David.

We understand that when you run the discover in the console it's showing another system as unknown. The reason why is because the console it's finding another system in the network that is not the one you are login into. This is normal since it discovers any host in the network which in this case seems to be two of them, just login to the one that you need.

You can also try by double checking other systems attached to the network that you do not need them to be connected and run the discover again.

Just in case it is always recommended to use the latest version of the Raid web console 2, you will find the latest version in the following link:

Hi Steven,

Thanks for the reply. The system showing as unknown is our VMWare host. As I said when clicked on to login to it we can log into it fine, but it would be nice to see that the controller is optimal with out having to login to it. We are already running the most current version of the web console.

Alright is good to know that you are running the latest version of the console, we haven't see this issue before, the next course of action would be trying reinstalling the latest driver, you can find the latest driver in the following link:

Hi Steven,

Turns out the newest version of the Web Console at least at the time of posting only supported showing the proper information for Windows boxes. We are using an older version of the console with no issues. Thanks for your input.

David.
