I have a SS 4200-E NAS device that will not go beyond the web page screen of Disk Change Notification. I have rebuilt the RAID a couple of times and reset to factory but to no avail. I have checked the articles from other discussions for this model and non of them seem to help me. My goal is to reset this device to scratch so I can repurpose it for a backup to a server. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Is it SS4200-E or SS4000-E? I don't remember SS4200-E has a Disk Change Notification page...

If you want to start from scratch, follow the steps below:
Power off the box and pull all the hard drives out. Power on the box and log in to web UI. Insert each HDDs one at a time while the system is running, and wait for the disk LED to illuminate. Scan for new drives and configure RAID.
Btw, if you FW version is below 1.4, it's highly recommended that you upgrade to 1.4: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=16833 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=16833. Follow the steps in the release notes strictly to complete the upgrade.
