Unable to extend rack rails (AXXFULLRAIL)

Hi all, I inherited an Intel server system R2312WTTYSR on rack rails AXXFULLRAIL that has been running for years. For some reason I'm unable to extend the server on rails beyond a couple of inches. It just stops extending after giving a metallic clunk. There are blue tabs on each side of the extended part of the rails, but pushing them to another position does not seem to help. There does not seem to be any other tabs on the rails that could flicked to another position. The manual doesn't state anything special regarding extending the rails and there's 2 other Intel server systems in the rack that extend just fine. What am I missing here?

Thank you for posting on intel community support. The AXXFULLRAIL is a 2U high-quality rail system designed to support up to 45 kg and provides a maximum travel length of 800 mm, allowing adjustment between 594.8 mm to 813 mm to accommodate various rack depths.

Hi,

 

I definitely do since you actually did not reply to any of my concerns, but just stated the specs of the rails which provides us with no additional information we already know.

 

The problem still is: the rails will not extend on the rack beyond a couple of inches before stopping.
