This is exactly the same behavior experienced when we said yes to let the XDK upgrade itself to 1816. On Mac OSX, go to the build tab, build Android, say yes to upload. The same dialog pops up. Again there is no log because it did not finish the upload of sources for the project.
The work-around is de-install 1826 completely. Download a fresh version and install. The in app update does not work!

I was not able to replicate your issue as described on my Mac OS X. What version of OS X are you running?

We were able to duplicate this issue when upgrading from 1816 to 1826 and performing the install. We will log the issue to get it addressed in then next updater.
I was able to workaround the issue and do a build by simply exiting the Intel XDK and restarting it rather than doing a completed uninstall and re-install.

Hans,
One more issue to log for the updater. I stepped away from my desk and the new version dialogs kept stacking at some interval. I had a whole fleet of them to dismiss. Once is enough. :^)
Simple restart did not clear my inability to build hence the clean install on Mac OSX.
