Activation of Parallel Studio 2018 fails

I tried to install the parallel_studio_xe_2018_composer_edition, but during the installation process, when contacting our floating licence server, installation fails with the message, that the licence server does not support this. We currently use the  FlexNet Licensing v11.12.0.0  build 136775 binaries on the licence server.

 FlexNet Licensing v11.12.0.0  is Intel(R) Software License Manager 2.3.

All floating licenses for 2017 Update 5 and newer need to be using version 2.5 or newer of the Intel(R) Software License Manager. This product will not install with an older version of the license manager. See: https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/installation-errors-related-to-intel-software-license-manager-upgrade

Thanks for the info, Hal. Up and running now.

I had one problem installing the Software License Manager 2.6.0.003: our license file contained a CNAME alias of the machines hostname, and installation of the License Manager failed. Changed to the real hostname in the file and then, installation succeeded. However, operating the License Manager with a CNAME alias in the license file is no problem, as before.
