Can't get Admob to work in XDK

Hello,

I would like to know if you could guide me a little bit on how to integrate admob.

I have an admob account which is being used on other platforms, in the XDK, at the top right of the screen it says:

Android Key:

Now what do they mean by that? Is it the Admob ad unit long 1 line code or another sort of key?

Also when the key will be entered, How to show interstitial ads rather than static up header or footer ads please?

I am also getting this error message when adding admob into the layout:

Tag "template" is not supported. (2.3,4.0,4.1,4.2,4.3) (6,7) (8.0)
