I just purchased a toshiba m500, vista home premium, 64 bit. Graphics card is Mobile Intel 4 Express Chipset with 4500mhd adapter. I want to use the laptop with a samsung syncmaster 2443BW with native resolution of 1920x1200. I have tried driver upgrades, setting changes, re-booting. I cannot get the option of adding or selecting this resolution. I know the monitor is capable as it was running fine on my last laptop at this resolutionl. using VGA to connect. I'd prefer to stay away from registry changes, etc. I think i'm missing something simple, but not sure. Any suggestions?

Hello,
Here's a ptr to the URL. BTW, you don't need to do anything other than watch for replies to your original post, as this post was moved intact to the new forum.
Also, you might want to check out the full forum itself (here's a ptr to the forum), as there is a forum post at the top on how to get custom resolutions on your gfx display. If this isn't what you want/need, then try searching the rest of the new forum for similar posts from others that may have had a similar question/issue (I've seen a number of other posts including the title "display resolution" on the first page, though it's hard to tell if those posts address your specific issue).
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Neal
