Development Of an IOT Smart Watch

We are in the process of developing an IOT Smart Watch to read continuous blood pressure of the user. We do not want to start from scratch. Is there a Smart Watch platform from Intel we can use to add sensors to? Is there a watch that can read BP continuously? We want to send the data to our cloud platform.

I don't think you can get BP on a smart watch.

Have you checked out the angel sensor:

http://www.angelsensor.com/

It has a nice array of sensors, and the raw data can be obtained...

Samsung is trying to do it, I do not like their approach.

There are several approaches on Pubmed also. i am a few steps away from the algorithm. need the right sensors. Our approach see attached pdf file.

Ah, I see. You are using an indirect method to estimate blood pressure. That's why you may not need to apply pressure...

Given that the user will be wearing the smart watch all the time, I guess you would also need to measure the current movement of the person, because, at least with conventional methods, you have to be still to have an accurate reading of blood pressure. Also, I think that the position of the wrist would affect the reading as well...
