Hi,
The problem I am facing currently is related to generation of single and multiple bit ECC errors with 875p MCH.
The intel chipset 840 had an explicit suppot for performing the diagnostic test for ECC (by setting the a bit in MCHCFG register) which was helpful for generating the single bit and multiple bit ECC error by writing the test data to memory location which along with the zeros written to the ECC bits in ECC diagnostic test mode generated the ECC errors.
This kind of support is unavailable in the recent 875p chipset. Any suggestions regarding generating the ECC error on a platform having 875p chipset are welcome.

This is somewhat outside the scope of our software development forums. Your design inquiry will require a closer look by an Intel Product Representative.
If your company has its own Intel representative, you may wish to inquire whether they are able to assist with this inquiry. Your company's Purchasing Department will normally have your Intel representative's contact information. If you have no contact, please see http://www.intel.com/buy/networking/design.htm under "Design Components".
If your location is not listed, please see an Intel Authorized Distributor and ask for a Field Application Engineer (FAE). Our Intel Authorized Distributor list is also linked from the URL above.
