I still need a solution to this problem! Maybe it's the wrong forum here for this question but I would really appreciate any help. The problem ist that when I run the WinCPUID against a Intel Celeron D I get "This processor does not support the brand identification feature".

Regards

Hello Arno,

Thank you for posting your question on the Intel Software Network Forum.

Intel Celeron processors have been produced for a number of years, using several process technologies. Celeron processors manufactured after the introduction of the 130nm process willbesupported by the Intel Processor Identification Utility, while those manufactured prior to the130nm processwill only besupported by the Intel Processor Frequency ID Utility.

For information on supported processors, please review the document at http://support.intel.com/support/processors/tools/piu/sb/CS-015472.htm. Support questions can be submitted via the support link on that page.

Also, you may wish to review the following document:

http://developer.intel.com/design/Pentium4/documentation.htm, check vol 2 of the IA-32 Intel Architecture Software Developers Manuals.

I hope this helps.
