Hi,

First of all thanks to this forum for provided me
with alot of info on DTD and custum resolutions.

I have this problem with my TV and my mediacenter, if i start the mediacenter before turning on the TV. Windows can't find the display or at least i do not get anything on the screen.

Im using a custom resolution becouse my TV does not support otherwise.
However even if i reboot the display is black again. I need to start up in safe mode, remove the drivers and install them again in Windows Normal Mode everytime i starting the center without the screen.

It just want keep the settings of the screen. I think the problem is that it change the resolution to something not supported by the screen and then its shuts of becouse i see fine the Windows Logo starting before entering windows.

The TV is a Panasonic px60 connected with HDMI from a Abit iL-90MV motherboard with GMA 950 on.
And os is Windows XP.

What can be the problem? is it something with EDID not working properly?

Best Regards
Thomas Nissen

Maybe somehow get Windows to think that the monitor is on all the time. Maybe some PnP diasbling or something if anyone know what will work.
