Intel power gadget not installing on macbook pro 2018 mojave

I tried installing the intel power gadget on my macbook and during installation it gave me a popup saying the driver is not compatible.

I tried running after the installation and it keeps saying the driver is not loaded. I checked the security settings and there was nothing there blocking it from running.

Tried reinstalling and the popup doesn't show up, but the driver also doesn't load.

This issue on macOS 10.14.5 should now be resolved for all users.
