Invalid serial number

Dear Intel Fortran user,

I just bought the Intel Visual Fortran Composer XE 2011. When I tried to install the code and give the serial number, I received the following reply: “Activation rights do not allow this software to be installed. This could be due to expired subscription or incompatible serial number.” The company which sold the code to me does not help me, but says that I have to solve the problem by myself. Can you help me?

Best Regards,

Kari Santaoja

Kari,

What you've bought is most likely an actual version of the Intel(R) Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition for Fortran Windows* version 2016 which allows to download also older versions of the product. But installing older products with an actual product license (version 2016) must be done with a license file; online activation is not supported.

Please follow this article to obtain a license file and use it for installation: https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/how-do-i-get-a-license-file-for-an-offline-installation-of-intel-parallel-studio-xe-2016

How to download older product verions: https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/older-version-product

I hope this helps.

Regards, Hubert.

Hello,

how can I change for an existing XE 2011 installation with an expired trial license to the license file I generated for my purchase of the 2016 Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition?

Hi Kim,

Please follow this link to create a license file for offline installation (using license file) for an older product:
