Hi,

we want to use the MKL or IPP Lib in a commercial audio software product. Can I use both for free under the community licensing program? If I have to purchase one of them, what are the costs and how to?

THX

Hi Christian,

Yes you can use both the MKL and IPP under the community licensing program. When you meet any  MKL/IPP/DAAL license issue, please refer to Kent’s reply at https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/intel-math-kernel-library/topic/720015

Intel MKL now has a new license that makes it easier to use in cloud configurations.  The "named user" restriction is now removed and you can install and use MKL on cloud instances without a problem.  You can find the new license at  https://software.intel.com/en-us/license/intel-simplified-software-license

Limited patent license. Intel grants you a world-wide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license under patents it now or hereafter owns or controls to make, have made, use, import, offer to sell and sell ("Utilize") this Software

The Intel Simplified Software License applies to the following products:

  • Intel® Math Kernel Library (Intel® MKL)
  • Intel® Integrated Performance Primitives (Intel® IPP)
  • Intel® Distribution for Python
  • Intel® Machine Learning Scaling Library (Intel® MLSL)
