help with directx 9

i need to download everything so i can play my game i rebooted my computer and before it was running fine and now its not working i get an error that i dont have directx 9 adapter installed what is that? please help me i miss my sims2.

it means you video card doesnt report directx 9 support or you need to install directx9

make sure you have the latest video card drivers
