Hi everyone,
I encounter a problem since which I couldn't fix yet,
The OS is Ubuntu 14.04
Software is Intel® Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition for Linux* (have SN for 1 year education use)
when I compile a software with ifort, I get the error message :
Error: A license for FCompL is not available now (-15,570,115).
A connection to the license server could not be made. You should
make sure that your license daemon process is running: both an
lmgrd process and an INTEL process should be running
if your license limits you to a specified number of licenses in use
at a time. Also, check to see if the wrong port@host or the wrong
license file is being used, or if the port or hostname in the license
file has changed.
License file(s) used were (in this order):
1. Trusted Storage
** 2. /opt/intel/composer_xe_2015.0.090/licenses
** 3. /opt/intel/licenses/l_SJR5G9B8.lic
** 4. /home/chpliu/intel/licenses
** 5. /opt/intel/composer_xe_2015.0.090/bin/intel64/../../Licenses

Hello Peng,
Please upgrade the license server to the latest then see if the problem persists. Here is the link to download the license manager https://registrationcenter.intel.com/regcenter/Download.aspx?productid=1938&pass=yes
Please let me know if this works for you.
Thank you.

Hi Qiaomin
I think i have a similar problem as of Peng, but with a strange twist. Some weeks ago I had problems to use icc/icpc, while ifort was running fine.
Now i cannot use ifort, but icc/icpc is running fine. The client assured me that he had not fiddled with its licenses.
Could you please send or post the link to the updated license manager?
TIA,
Fabricio

Hello everyone,
I have the similar problem with Intel® Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition for Linux* 2016 . I also have a Student 1 yr license. I have installed it under (home)/opt/intel-install/ directory. I installed it for one user (not root) in a cluster environment. I used Serial number activation, and it installed successfully. But when I try to use icc it gives me the error. Could you please let me know how can I solve this issue. Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Abdullah
