Bluetooth keyboard K850 lacks responsiveness Win11 Pro 24H2

I have a MiniPC BESSTAR U820 with i5-8279U CPU and Win11 Pro 24H2.
The Logictech K850 Keyboard is connected to Intel Wireless Bluetooth 20.100.10.11.
The keyboard has a significant lag for the first keystroke of a sequence.

I set "svchost.exe" to high priority using the task scheduler at system startup as
proposed in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/3866346/bluetooth-devices-in-windows-11-lack-responsivenes?source=docs

Open Task Scheduler > Create Task.
Set trigger at system startup as admin
Under "Actions", use this as the action:
cmd /c wmic process where name="svchost.exe" call setpriority 128
(128 is "High" priority)

Is there a more specific way to set priority for process bthserv?

Does it make sense to set bthserv to RealTime priority?

Is there a newer BT driver e.g. 23...?

@RotaRota

Did you tried to connect your keyboard via Unifying receiver instead the Bluetooth?

Hello RotaRota,

Thank you for posting on Intel Community Forum.

To assist you effectively, please share the information below.

1. Have you tested any other Bluetooth devices?

2. Were you able to have wireless connection in a normal/expected performance before?

3. Have you installed any recent software or hardware in your system?

4. Is this the original adapter that came pre-installed in your system, or have you changed/installed a new adapter recently?

Additionally, to have a better understanding of your system configuration and components please generate System Support Utility (SSU) report. Please follow instructions here and send the report - How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*

I hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Jed,

sorry for the late response. I was traveling and did not have access to the system

> 1. Have you tested any other Bluetooth devices?
Yes, other BT devices work fine e.g. BT mouse M720 Triathlon
The K850 Keyboard also works fine on other PC e.g. HP Elitebook 860

> 2. Were you able to have wireless connection in a normal/expected performance before?
A USB keyboard works fine. I did never have good performance with the BT keyboard

> 3. Have you installed any recent software or hardware in your system?
I update win11 and Intel drivers regularly. Today I tried to install BT 23.160.0,
but it does not look applicable

> 4. Is this the original adapter that came pre-installed in your system, or have you changed/installed a new adapter recently?
Yes, it is the built-in Intel native BT.

>5. Please generate System Support Utility (SSU) report. Please follow instructions here and send the report - How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*
Report is attached

Best regards,

In addition to setting "svchost.exe" to high priority (as described above)
the responsivenes improved a bit by

1. Uninstall options_installer

2. Uninstall logioptionsplus_installer

3. Install BT-23.40.0-64UWD-Win10-Win11 for A7265

Please be aware that driver version 20.100.10.11 (64-bit) are the last available version of the wireless drivers for these products.

This software has been End of Life and no additional support will be provided to these drivers.

  • Windows® 10 64-bit and Windows 11*:
  • Package version 23.40.0
  • Driver version 20.100.10.11 for 7265 (Rev. D), 3168, 3165
