CNVio Versus CNVio2? What's the difference?

What's the difference between CNVio and CNVio2, if anything?

I want to install a Wifi6 adapter in a HP Z2 Mini G4, which supports CNVio. I'm trying to find out if an Intel AX201 will work in it.

On one place on Intel it states the AX201 is CNVio, but on the main product page here, it says it's CNVio2.

Thanks!

I found a lengthy thread regarding your question I will attach a link to the thread. In essence, the questioner learned that using a CNVio2 device in a machine expecting a CNVio device prevented the machine from powering on. Removing the CNVio2 device returned the machine to usability.

Let me add, the HP Z2 Mini G4 comes with the Intel PCH C246 chipset.

Thanks! They really shouldn't call it CNVio2 if it's not backwards compatible with CNVio.
