Installed latest version of Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection but still showingupdate available in Intel Driver Update Utility

Hi Intel Support,

I am new to this forum and need help on Intel Wireless.

My Model is HP PAvilion dv6330ea Notebook Pcs and installed Windows 7 Professional 32-bit OS. Needed latest driver for my Intel

PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection.....

Installed this file in my system.

After installing just to recheck i have rescanned my system with Intel Driver Update Utility and found that

Wireless Networking (WiFi)------(Newer Driver Available)

Product Detected http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/wireless/pro3945abg Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection

Current Driver Installed 15.8.0.0

Newer Intel® PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility Available: 15.3.1

Why it is showing previous version available i.e 15.3.1 whereas i have installed latest 15.8.0.0?

What should i do now? Shall i uninstall 15.8.0.0 and install 15.3.1?

Hello Sivarajan,

Please note that the latest driver version supported for the Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection is 15.3.1. That is the reason why the Intel® Driver Update Utility points you to a different driver version.
