the intel 6235 bluetooth does not seem to support handsfree audio gateway. I can pair Iphone 4 but I cannot stream music from iphone through computer. I was able to do this in win 7 64 pro...with bluetooth dongle
Is there a different driver or configuration that I am missing?

Please let me know, are you using multiple Bluetooth devices (mice, keyboard, cell phone …) at the same time? If so, is it possible to test with just the Iphone*?
Furthermore, is it also possible to just try the desired function instead of multiple profiles simultaneously? You may find some options in the services tab of the Bluetooth device properties.

For Windows* 8 I believe the (headset, music and audio) options that you will see actually appear as in the screenshots of the link below.

Hi' I have the same problem with the windows 8.1 Bluetooth driver with an iPhone. All the functions worked before I installed the intel card and drivers. I originally had a Dell 1703 card wifi / Bluetooth combo and all worked great. I replaced it with an intel AC 7260 Dual Band + Bluetooth. I also have an AC router. The wifi will only come in at 130 mbps. The Bluetooth connects my keyboard, mouse, headset & iPhone. It don't allow me to play music from my iPhone as it did before. I don't see any of the screens as in your link. Idid see them prior to installing the intel card.
Please give me some direction as to where to go next.

You will only be able to stream audio from your PC to other devices like speakers, headsets or similar. The Bluetooth profile called A2DP SINK is not supported by Microsoft* on Windows* 8/8.1. This means the PC cannot receive an audio stream from another device (A2DP SRC) and play it over its speakers.
