Intel Dual band AC8620 - Lenovo Miracast function not working

I have been trying to get Miracast screen share to work between my laptop and LG TV without success.

I am using Lenovo T470 lapto that uses Intel dual band AC-8620 wifi card.

In order to fix the issue, I have updated the drivers and reinstalled Windows 10. My laptop can see the TV but can not connect.

The network card can see other blue tooth devices and also my wifi enabled printer and works fine. It is just that it refuses to screen share :-

Any help or ideas gratefully received.

Thanks.

Hello Paramjit,

Thanks for writing. Please notice that Miracast* is a standard used by the the operating system, but it is not an Intel product. However, we can confirm that https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/wireless-products/dual-band-wireless-ac-8260-brief.html Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 complies with the Wi-Fi Alliance "Wi-Fi Direct* for peer to peer" protocol implemented by Miracast*.

As a general recommendation, you may test the following:

- Perform a https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000022173/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html clean installation of the wireless driver.

- Update the graphics/display drivers.

- Disconnect the laptop from docks, external displays and Ethernet cables.

EDIT: It is also important that you confirm if the screen/TV you want to project to is compatible with Miracast* and your OS.

For further assistance, we recommend to https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/oems.html contact the laptop OEM. Please let us know if there's anything else we can do for you.

Best regards,
