Intel WiFi Link driver unable to install on Windows 8.1 Error [00000525]

I have Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 wireless adapter in my laptop and I tried to install the WiFi Link drivers on my Windows 8.1. It suddenly stops and states that "Error [00000525]: An error occured while attempting to create the directory: C:\ProgramData\Intel\Wireless". I have given myself and the installer admin privileges but it does not help. I have tried to delete Wireless directory but it does not help. Is there a workaround?

I have not seen such error message before but besides the directory mentioned above I have found it helps deleting other folders between uninstall and install processes, such as the ones indicated below.

I hope this helps. The latest Intel® Proset Software version for your adapter is https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23493 16.7.
