Solved: Soft AP in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz simultaneously

Hi,

7260AC supports dual channels, and looks working 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz at same time while in client mode.

But, when I set Soft AP in Windows10, it requests to choose 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.

Is it impossible to use both frequencies simultaneously at AP mode?

We would like to mention that the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 is designed to act as a Wi-Fi client, not as a wireless Access Point. It supports basic Ad-hoc functionality and Wi-Fi direct, as per standard regulations. Intel does not provide the tools to use it as access point and we cannot guarantee that it will support all possible configurations, such as simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz in AP mode.

From the adapter's support perspective, it may not be possible to implement this configuration.
