We get 2 AX.210  Wi-Fi 6E modules, but when we try to install it in a ARM 64 linux developement kit, try to enumerate the pcie Wi-Fi modules, here is the log:
[ 1765.822286][T10311] msm_pcie_enable: PCIe: Assert the reset of endpoint of RC0.
[ 1765.826576][T10311] msm_pcie_enable: PCIe: RC0: PCIE20_PARF_INT_ALL_MASK: 0x7f80d202
[ 1765.829121][T10311] pcie_phy_init: PCIe RC0 PHY is ready!
[ 1765.839296][T10311] msm_pcie_enable: PCIe: Release the reset of endpoint of RC0.
[ 1765.950917][T10311] msm_pcie_link_train: PCIe: Assert the reset of endpoint of RC0.
[ 1765.950962][T10311] msm_pcie_link_train: PCIe RC0 link initialization failed
[ 1765.951791][T10311] msm_pcie_enumerate: PCIe: RC0: failed to enable

So it can't be detected by the PCIE bus, but we can use lsusb to find the usb device:
/ # lsusb                                                                                                                                                                      Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 8087:0032

So can we know the PCIe rst time of this modules, example how much times we need keep the RST high when try to enumerate the WiFi modules?

Hi HuanWei,

Thank you for posting in the Community!

To better assist you and determine the most appropriate resolution, could you please provide the needed details listed below.

  • Is this working fine before?
  • Is this the first time setting it up?
  • Did you integrate for this system?
  • Since this is an OEM device, have you already tried contacting ARM 64 Linux Development Kit?

Background:
We make a board with QC platform with gki kernel 5.15, there is a pcie 3.0 M.2 interface we connect the WiFi modules into it.
Some other WiFi modules used to work well in this M.2 example the RTL8822CE.

1. This M.2 interface works before.
2. This is the first time the AX210 WiFi modules connect to this M.2 interface.
3. I am just integrating the driver into the system, I enable the IWLWIFI driver in kernel, but firstly the PCIE bus can't detect the AX.210, I don't know what to do next.

4. I didn't try this.

I think the PCIE modules should be detect at first, then we can try to install the driver to enable the function.
Can you give any suggestion that if there are any boot up seq of the AX.210 or I need to load the FW so that it can enable the pcie?

Hello HuanWei,

I'd like to inform you that we are still investigating the issue you're experiencing. To assist us further, could you please provide the following information:

1. Is the AX210 able to function on another Windows or Linux hardware without any development kit?

2. Please type # dmesg > dmesg.log and share the dmesg logs with us.

Best regards,
