Hi,

we have Parallel Studio XE 2018 for Fortran, but the licenses are no longer working when trying to install on a new machine. How can we get access to this?

Download HPC Toolkit - this replaces PSXE. No license needed https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/tools/oneapi/hpc-toolkit.html

Is there a good reason you don't just use the current, free, Intel oneAPI compiler instead of one that's six years old?  Licensing questions can be asked in oneAPI Registration, Download, Licensing and Installation - Intel Community

Can this be used with Visual Studio 2017? I can only find that the latest version is compatible with VS 2019.

VS 2017 is not supported. See this article for supported versions.

Be aware that there are issues with the debugger using VS 17.7.x. See Solved: Re: Debugging ifort in VS 2022 17.7 hangs expression evaluator - Intel Community
