Then how about Version vtune_linux_8.0.245.tar.gz?
Does it also support Dual-Core Intel Itanium 2 processor 9000 sequence?

Hi,
No, the build 8.0.245 doesn't support Dual-Core processors - the processors weren't public on the moment of the release (Oct 2005).
The support is available only since VTune 8.0.1 release.
BTW If you havelicense for 8.0 version - it will work with 8.0.1 as well.

Katya

Hi Katya,
In case of dual core machines with dual core processors, should there be two instances of vtune_drv.
My system has 2 dual core Xeons.
I have a feeling that sometimes, VTune is not sampling the right CPU on which the process is running.
I am running VTune 9.0
