Using Sun 511-1422-01 ATLS1QGE in Windows Server 2016

Dear community,

i recently read, that it is possible to use my Sun Quad-Port Ethernet Card in Windows 10. So I wanted to get it working with Windows Server 2016. According to Oracle it uses the Intel I350-T4 chipset, for which Windows-drivers should be obtainable on Intel's website. But since I already tried out more than 10 different driver - versions, each telling me at installation, that there is no Intel-Networks-Adapter in my server, I am quite disappointed. I already checked Device-Manager, where the card is listed (PCI\VEN_108E&DEV_ABCD&SUBSYS_0000108E&REV_01). I hope somebody in this community can help me.

Best regards LUC4R4T0R

Hello LUC4R4T0R, Thank you for posting in Intel Ethernet Communities. We will check if our drivers support that adapter. Have you confirmed if this adapter will work in Windows 10 as the article you read claims, but not Windows Server 2016? Would you be able to post an image of the label on the adapter where you found the markings? We cannot find a record of the part numbers provided. Let us know if you have any other questions. Sorry i was quite busy in the last weeks.

I now also tried Windows 10 but had also no success. Here are some images of the labels on the ethernet card:

Hello LUC4R4T0R, Thank you for the images. Based on the markings we cannot be sure that this is an I350 controller or any other Intel controller, as this is not listed in our products. The I350-T4 is used in Oracle PN 7048474. This may be a different adapter from the one that was successfully used in Windows 10. Please check with Oracle, as they would know which controller is being used in this adapter. Best regards, Daniel D Intel Customer Support Under Contract to Intel Corporation
