Hi Crisselle,
the server is up and running, but I found that on the invoice: "INTEL X710-DA4FHBLK 10GbE Ethernet Server Adapter 4 Ports Direct Attach Dual Port Copper PCIe 3.0".
Yes, I downloaded the NVM update there, it's just a driver issue, the card works fine with VMXNET3.
The driver requirements for NVM 6.80 are not mentioned here: https://www.intel.de/content/www/de/de/support/articles/000005893/network-and-i-o/ethernet-products.html
but according to VMWARE it should be okay: https://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/detail.php%3FdeviceCategory%3Dio%26productid%3D37996
But does not work with SR-IOV.
Thanks

Hi Crisselle,
it was an old version (some 4.x), in order to enable SR-IOV, I updated the NVM and the driver to the lastest releases.
Thanks

Hi Crisselle,
that was me too. Because the NVM update trigged to issue in the driver, I did not know if Intel or VMWARE has to fix it.
Thanks
