Hi all,

I am working on a project including FFT transformation and I want to use the provided by Altera IP, but I am having some issues.

As I see in the ReadMe file (https://www.altera.com/content/dam/altera-www/global/en_us/others/support/examples/download/fft_32k_readme_v1_0_0.txt), I need to have FFT MegaCore v2.1.3 software on my PC, but I cannot seem to find out how to download it. Am I missing something out?

Can somebody please give me a hint on that? Your feedback will be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

If I understand it correctly from this link (https://documentation.altera.com/#/00021315-AA$AA00049289), the FFT Megacore should be available together with your Quartus II installation. You can check the directory as specificied to see if can find the core. Note that you might need to purchase the license after evaluation.

Hi bfkstimchan,

You are right, there is an fft folder in my directory, but when I try to regenerate the FFT MegaCore files, I get an error saying that fft_small.v is not a valid MegaWizard-generated variation file. This is why I thought I was doing something wrong.

Does anybody have any idea how I could deal with this issue?

Hi bfkstimchan,

I have same question.

In my installation directory C:\altera_lite\15.1\ip\altera\fft\lib, there are lot of files named xxx_xxx_fft_151.v(vhd).

Is the right place for "Specify the FFT MegaCore Function user library"?

I have Quartus Prime Lite Edition 15.1. Is it can run the design example fft_32k?

If not, Which vension of Quartus should be use?
