server_n3000( pac 8x10G)<---1X40G optical module and fiber--->Server40GbE , led lights on Server40GbE
are out, while the led lights is on when use the same optical module and fiber to connect the two ports within Server40GbE

When you connect the 1x40G cable to the N3000. what is the output of fpgainfo phy? UP or DOWN?

I just found that result changes all the time,
e.g.1 e.g.2 e.g.3
Port0 10G : Up : Up : Down
Port1 10G : Down : Up : Down
Port2 10G : Down : Up : Down

Hi @fzhan51 , When you say 1x40G, it is only 1 port at 40G, right?
Or, Do you mean 4x10G instead? Because the the card can only support 10G per port.

1 port at 40G --> it makes sense it will FAIL because the card supports 10G per port
4 port at 10G each --> it makes sense it will PASS because the card supports 10G per port
Im not sure there is such cable as 1 port at 10G --> then this will further confirm my explanation.
Btw, 1x40G is NOT EQUAL to 4x10G !!
