I want to buy a new laptop with Intel Iris Graphics but I want to use Debian for programming. I see here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005526.html# core Supported Operating Systems for Intel® Graphics Products that the linux OS if supported with the Intel® Graphics Linux driver project. But the performance may compete with the Windows drivers? The compatibility is still better than the provided by Nvidia or AMD Graphics cards?

Hi ArturoB,
Linux support (driver availability) is only available through Linux community. Now, Intel decided to join its effort with the community members to produce graphics drivers and few others.
The Linux graphics performance might be less than the available in Windows.
