How to force to set special resolution?

Our client’s application needs to output a specific resolution of 1920x720 on the Windows screen.

We found a lot of Windows computers, laptops,

There are a few external monitors that can output 1920x720 through the custom resolution of the graphics card.

However, the built-in screen of the laptop cannot be customized to output 1920x720.

Excuse me, is there an API that can force a specific resolution of 1920x720 to be output?

IkkiChen, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.

In reference to this scenario, to provide the most accurate response to your inquiry, we just need to confirm a few details about the computer of your client:

Please attach the SSU report so we can check the specifications of his system, check all the options in the report including the one that says "3rd party software logs":

And additionally, please attach the Intel® Graphics report to confirm how is the board recognizing the built-in display:

Any questions, please let me know.

Internal displays in laptops typically support a fixed resolution and usually don't allow much variance from this resolution. In a situation like this, you usually make the application smart enough to ascertain what the resolution actually is and, if it cannot change this resolution, it will adapt to it. In your case, if you cannot choose 1920x720, then you will need to 'band' your display so that there is black horizontal band above and below the 1920x720 section being used.

Hope this helps,
