I recently changed my PC for an HP Pro Tower 400 G9 PCI Desktop PC. When I tried to connect to my Samsung Curved QLED Monitor 34 inch (model C34F791WQU) via HDMI, I could only choose a maximum resolution of 1920x1280 (recommended?) whereas the native resolution of the monitor is 3440x1440.
Strange enough, when I connect the same monitor via the DisplayPort the maximum (and recommended) resolution is indeed 3440x1440.
Is there a hardware limitation via the HDMI port maybe?
Please advice, thanks
Dirk Van den Eynden

It's best to use the monitor via DisplayPort:
3440 x 1440 @ 100 Hz RGB 8-bit = 75% HBR2
