[UHD Graphics 620] Difference of drawing result depending on GPU

​I created a simple application to clip a cube using DirectX 9.0, but the GPU makes a difference in drawing results.

The difference between the drawing results is whether or not the intersection lines of the clip plane and the cube is drawn.

When using the NVIDIA Quadro K2200, intersection lines are drawn, but when using Intel UHD Graphisc 620, intersection lines are not drawn.

I think it is a GPU-dependent problem, but I do not know the cause.

Please tell me why the drawing results are different.

If you are using a laptop then please check in their download center to see if there is an update for the graphics. The latest driver could not be tried.

I asked Lenovo Support "When will the latest dirver will be available?"

But I received an answer that "the time of delivery is unknown".

Therefore, the updatable driver is up to "25.20.100.6519".

"The latest driver we offer is version 25.20.100.6519. It is recommended to wait for the next driver."

Sorry, we can not test with the lastest drivers.

Hello tkoma2, Thank you for your response. I would like to know how you are disabling the Nvidia graphics to test the application. This is important because, I have tested the application in systems with only Intel ® HD Graphics and I have not experienced the problem you mention. If possible, try disabling the discrete video from the BIOS since normally, computers with hybrid graphics have an option to do so, if possible, test the application again once the discrete graphics card has been disabled. I do not use a computer with hybrid graphics.

Computers with Intel Graphics 620 and computers with NVIDIA are different.

Hello tkoma2, I would like to confirm that we have been able to test and reproduce this issue here in our lab. A bug report has been filed to our driver development team (Bug ID# 1409419607). However I would like to set the right expectations from the start i.e. DirectX* 9 issues are very low priority and there is a high possibility that our dev team won't pick this up anytime soon (or at all).
