Hi,
Got my new Dell desktop with quite small PSU. As I needed to connect 3 monitors, I needed power efficient dedicated GPU, and A310 fit the bill. Sadly I didn't found any information about problems with Lightroom AI features before buying the card.
At the moment AI based denoise feature is basically unusable - it takes tens of minutes for 50 MP file. As I found out after discovering the issue, it is known one and sideeffect of another fixed bug and Intel is aware of it, but in the article, there are no updates from early 2024 about fixing it. I am running latest drivers and no luck, it seems that these even made things worse.
Would Intel even try to fix it? Is the same issue still there with B series GPUs?

Hi @rnx69
Thank you for reaching out to our community. To assist you effectively, please provide the following information:
- What is the exact make and model of your system? Additionally, please share the SSU log report so we can have a comprehensive overview of your system.
- Is the graphics card currently installed in your Dell system the original one, or have you upgraded it?
- Have you performed a clean installation using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)?
- Is this a prebuild or custom?
- Where did you obtain the latest driver, you mentioned? We recommend trying the OEM driver provided by your system's manufacturer first.
- Have you contacted Dell's technical support team regarding this issue?
Once I have this information, we can start from there.
Please note that there is an ongoing investigation into this issue. However, based on our checks, the issue was addressed with driver versions 32.0.101.6127 WHQL and 32.0.101.6044 Non-WHQL. These versions are no longer available on our download center. For the B-series according to our reports, we have not observed this type of issue with Lightroom.
Looking forward to your response.
Regards,
Randy T.

1. The system is Dell Optiplex 7020 Tower (2024). I can post SSU log later as I am not at home at the moment.
2. It is aftermarket graphics card by Sparkle. Not Dell original one.
3. I will try it and let you know. At the moment not.
4. It's prebuild system, only GPU is upgraded.
5. Last driver is downloaded from Intel web. Upgraded it yesterday and after that estimate for denoise 47MP RAW came from about 20 minutes to 92 minutes. Driver version is 32.0.101.6653.
6. As it is upgraded graphics, no.

SSU log now attached.
I performed clean install, but it didn't help much. Estimated time went down from 92 minutes to 26 minutes. First time execution after clean install was about 12 minutes, but second time was almost 50 minutes, really unacceptable
It seems that for at least A310 the bug is not fixed. I am not sure what would be normal execution time for this card, but I assume around 1-2 minutes perhaps, considering the performance should be slightly below my laptop's RTX3050, that denoises the same file within 30 seconds...

Hi Randy,
Thank you for escalation.
I did some more experiments yesterday. It seems that after restarting the computer the performance is slightly better, 47MP file denoise taking 12-14 minutes or so. Next file is really slow - like 50 minutes to one hour (after ~10 minutes the progress is about 9-10%). There seem to be some issue with vRAM purging too, at least as long as I understand, the denoise process consumes quite a bit vRAM and Adobe itself recommends at least 8GB for best performance. For me from performance perspective anything around 1 minute is good enough and I think it should be obtainable for any dedicated GPU made within last two years.
