Constant Steam Game Crashes

Greetings!

I am new to the A770, but seems there is an issue, and I am not sure if it's due to my new monitor, or the games. Previously CS2 and other Steam games worked fine, but it seems all I can run now is Overwatch 2/WoW.

I have a 49in monitor and I've reduced and split the monitor ratios many ways, adjusted the resolution many ways, so I am not sure if that's the culprit, but running any game it eventually just tanks with some error, and then then this error is quite prevalent now:

The Desktop Window Manager process has exited. (Process exit code: 0xc00001ad, Restart count: 1, Primary display device ID: Intel(R) Arc(TM) A770 Graphics)

The Blizzard games seem to run fine, but there is still some tearing a bit. So far, not a great experience and I am not sure if it's the card or the monitor. I'd like to use this, but if I can't I'll have to send it back.

Does anyone have any guidance/pointers?

Hello SecDM,

Thank you for posting in our community.

We understand that you are having issues with your Intel Arc graphics, as your Steam games are constantly crashing when you play.

In order for me to isolate the issue and provide the best solution, kindly provide the following information:

  • Do the other games work fine with your previous monitor?
  • What games are having issues?
  • What is the complete model of your monitor?
  • Have you already enabled the resizable bar? as it is important for the Arc graphics performance.
  • I do not have sufficient details about your hardware and software configuration to help you. Please run the SSU report and share it to us so I can check important details such as the OS build number, graphics driver version, errors logged in the system, etc.
  • If you have taken any steps to fix this issue before contacting us, please give me those details so we don't repeat any unnecessary steps.

Thank you, and have a great day ahead!

It's alright. I'm going to RMA the card and get a refund.

I appreciate the help.
