Starfield still not launching on a770 after driver 31.0.101.4672

when launching starfield I get stuck on a I have waited up to an hour and it hasn't changed. The screen says launching game and this may take a while depending on the system. My system meets all the requirements other than my a770 LE.

I am posting this as there was a case closed where people had similar problems but I am still having issues.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Aadam

I see that you continue to experience issues trying to launch Starfield on your system even after the driver update 31.0.101.4672 that should have the fix for that problem.

I see that you have tried a clean installation of the driver, Was the installation using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)? If not yet performed, I would advise using DDU to uninstall previous installations and then update to the latest version 31.0.101.4676. In addition to the driver installation and taking into consideration that most users reported the issue was fixed after version 4672 I recommend that you completely uninstall the game from your system and reinstall it to make sure you do not have any type of corrupted files on your game installation directory.

If the issue persists, I would appreciate it if you could share a screenshot of the screen in which the game gets stuck as well as a report from the Intel® System Support Utility to get your hardware configuration.

Hi! I had the same issue after installing the driver. Re-running the driver installation with the CLEAN INSTALL option and rebooting the PC fixed the issue for me, maybe give it a try ?

Yeah it's still not working I've tried the latest beta driver and the latest non beta drivers all with a clean install and no changes. Ive waited upwards of an hour for the game to load and nothing happens.

Hello Aadam

Thank you for letting us know. It is great to hear that the game is now working and you are able to play it on your Intel® Arc™ A770, please note there is still some room to cover for this game as outlined in our driver release notes but we continue to improve the performance and compatibility for our Arc GPUs.

Since the thread is now resolved we will close it, but feel free to open a new topic if you need further assistance.

Best Regards,
