SteamVR became brick on latest Graphics driver

I installed the latest driver (101.6559) and SteamVR stopped working. I use Arc A770 16 GB which works fine with SteamVR for a year. Rollbacking the driver to older version, it came back life again, so I doubt the latest driver is malfunctioning.

To understand the issue better, please help share the following details below:

 

1) Provide the driver version that worked fine with your Intel® Arc™ A770 Graphics (16GB) and SteamVR.

2) Is the rollback option from the driver properties on the device manager still available?

3) How did you install the latest driver (6559)? Was it a manual installation or used a driver updater tool?

4) Please help share your system configuration so I can further investigate on what's Causing the system. This could be possible by downloading the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* software. When the download is complete, launch SSU.exe.

  • Scan: Check the box Everything.
  • Click Scan.
  • Review: When finished scanning, click Next.
  • Click Save (.txt).
  • Attach the log file as you reply.
