Ubuntu 18.04 with wayland
Quartus prime 18.1 and 19.1
Same license file used on the microsoft windows machine.
I have followed the guides in
https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/programmable/us/en/pdfs/literature/manual/quartus_install.pdf
After moving over to Ubuntu 18.04 from Microsoft windows Quartus 18.1 or 19.1 does not see or recognize the license file anymore.
(it pops up the word "searching" very briefly in the vendor column on the License Setup.
Do I have manipulate the file in some way, like repalcing CRLF with LF ?
Is it possible to switch on some program attribute to get more debug messages?
I start it like this (I have assumed the warning messages can be ignored)
$ ~/intelFPGA/18.1/quartus/bin/quartus --64bit

Hello
Welcome to Intel forum. May we know, have you re-generate your license.dat file to use the Ubuntu 18.04. If not, could you help to re-generate your license file first. Generate your license in Self-Service licensing Center. Only the license administrator can re-generate the license file.
Guidance: https://fpgasupport.intel.com/AlteraLicensing/license/index.html --> Licensing Center Home --> Computer and License Files --> Select a computer to generate a new license file.
Link to demo: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/support/training/demonstrations/online/licensing/onl-licensing.html
Otherwise, if you still having problem, please advise the latest generate license.dat file for checking?
