In need of some good advice: I have a Thinkpad Lenovo i5Core etc with win 7 installed. ok tried to load my ivf9 pkg with VS2003 - no go; next - on advice from IT - got VMWare XP pkg - tried again - works with ocassional errors seemingly related to VS2003 - a compatability message comes up. More advice from IT had me buy VS2010. Now, ivf 9 won,t load or just disappears. Various forums have suggested combinations with VS2008 but i have a note here that suggests ivf12 with VS2010 should be ready in November. Is this still on track? I haven't found resellers or Our IT people very helpfull on these kinds of problems and my fort is not on system problems. I have a large math intensive project comming up and need to decide - is it this pkg or do i go with MatLab!

Intel Visual Fortran Composer XE 2011 (IVF 12) was released on November 9. It supports VS2010 and that combination is fine on Windows 7. IVF 9 does not support VS2008 or VS2010.

Thanks - got caught on the name change( the distributer was unaware and couldn't find ivf12) and recieved a very helpful email from Intel customer service - (Audry). Downloaded the trial and all worked on first try. Now need to integrate xeffort into the whole thing. Some other conversions (IVF9 to the new) worked seamlessly but those with xeffort calls still have the hicups. Thanks again
