Anyone encountered issues with QSYS not able to generate netlist? I created a small test case with Just clocks and DDR3 (hardmacro).

It was hang while generating DDR part.

When I tried on the same version on Windows 7 it is working fine.

Hi,

  1. Which Edition of quartus std/pro/lite?
  2. Elaborate more on device, IP used, steps & IP setting of ddr and file generated for synthesis(VHDL/Verilog)?
  3. Also attache some the image.

  1. Quartus Prime Version 17.1.0 Build 590 10/25/2017 Lite Edition
  2. I basically added the IPs in platform designer GUI. It works well on my Win7 PC using exact same quartus.

Hi,

Sorry for the late response.

We have used Quarts 17.1 lite in windows 10 environment.

  1. Used Clock Source and DDR3 IP’s only.

It was successful generated.

Can you try to recreating the project or by deleting the db folder.

Hi Anand, Even if I start from scratch I get the same error. I even tried the project your colleague send to me and it have the same error. I strongly believe it is due to the version of Windows 10. Can you confirm if you tried using the same Windows 10 version as me? Linus

Hi, While waiting for response I did the following. 1. Reinstall 17.1 2. Install 18.0 In both cases I used the simple testcase provided by Intel previously. Both have the same error. I will attached the error log again here. My Windows 10 Pro build : Windows 10, version 1803 Linus

Hi,

The above scenario will be fixed by disabling one of the Windows feature as highlighted below “Windows Subsystem for Linux”.
