Help, please.

When I try to compile some project using QUARTUS II v.11.0 or v.10.01 (web edition bouth) i get these messages:

Info: You have a valid up-to-date license

Info: You have a valid up-to-date license

Error: Selected feature of TimeQuest Timing Analyzer is not available with your current license, or license does not exist

Info: You have a valid up-to-date license

Error: Current module quartus_asm ended unexpectedly

Error: Quartus II Full Compilation was unsuccessful. 2 errors, 0 warnings

I use Wwindows xp sp3, with hardware which meets QUARTUS requirements (512 Mb of Ram)

There was no errors during installation process, I have tied to download License file and use it, to reinstall program, to install fresh coppy of windows and than QUARTUS... nothing helps.

I know that there is more threads on this subject, but there is no solution, so I ask again. I

Apologize for my English.

can you start a new project for scratch and target a recent device (CIII or CIV)? just run a small design like a counter and see if it runs all the way through compilation

that's really strange

you said you're using Web Edition and a license file. can you try the counter test project without any license assigned to Quartus?

Hi,

have you tried to delete all subdirectories (e.g. "db", "incremental_db",..) and start a recompilation (deleting the subdir forces a complete recompile...)

Give it a try..

-I have made new project and tried to compile it, and I have got errors, so it is a complete recompilation.

-I am trying to enable "Talk back" function, but I dont know what is FAE (field application engineer) username, or where to get it.

-Btw, now I use version 9.1 and it works without errors, but I would like to find solution for problems with newer versions...

Well - can you post the Archieved projekt as it's easier to play around and post the answer than doing wild guesses...

Where can I find software release notes for quartus ii version 11.0? Now I can find quartus ii version 10.1 sp1 software release notes only. Even in page quartus ii subscription edition.

I ASK AGAIN:

What is FAE (field application engineer) username, and where to get it (need it for Talk back function)???

I have uploaded some simple project which cannot be compiled by my Quartus.

Konst: the QII Release Notes are normally delayed from the software release by a couple of weeks

bosandzeros: if you don't work with an FAE you don't need to fill out that field. if you do you can just ask your FAE

i don't think this is the root cause of your problem

There can't be anything wrong with your code, if I can compile it. You must have a problem with your Quartus II installation.
