Simulation Grid Size

Hi,

I am currently using Quartus Prime Version 20.1 Lite Edition on a Surface Pro 7.  The issue is that the simulation grid size will not adjust to anything lower than 20 ns.  I can go to Edit -> Grid Size and set it to anything greater than or equal to 20 ns, but if I set it to anything less than 20 ns, for example 5 ns, then the parameter changes but the grid size, on the simulation window, defaults to 20 ns.  Please help.

Can't you just zoom in with the magnifying glass?

Yes I can, but is there anything I can do to get the grid size of 5 ns to show up on the simulation window?  The lab I am working on requires me to submit screenshots of the simulation window showing that I selected the correct grid size for an End Time of 1 us.

What's different between the 2 waveforms you've posted?  The grid is 20 in the first one and 10 in the second, so you did something to get the grid smaller than 20.

All I did was maximize the simulation window.

So maybe the display doesn't show smaller grid size until you zoom in or make the window bigger.  I use ModelSim or QuestaSim.  It's been a long time since I used .vwf.
