IP integration in platform designer

I have two ips which I like to join them in platform designer. One is a qsfp and the other is emif.

These two designs have right parameter setup.

Now I open up a new platform designer under the same project name and add these ips under tool/option tab into ip directory.

They show up under existing ip variants. When “Add” them they lose all connectivity and names find originally in their qsys set originally.

What I was hoping was the ability to move the entire IP as it is set and then apply modifications in Platform designer.

Is that possible?

How can I preserve/package the entire design (keep the original setup) and then import it into the new design.
