I have a Core i7-6700K @ 4.00GHz that is not compatible with Windows 11. What processor could I do a one for one swap to get Windows 11 compatibility?
i.e. I just want to pull the old one out and plug a new one in and it'll work with Win 11?
Many thanks Mike

You will need an 8th gen or later processor that fits a LGA1151 socket and is compatible with your motherboarcd bios. Only your system or motherboard manufactureer can tell you which processors are supported by their bios.
But, do not let that stop you from upgrading to W11:

[W10 is this generation's XP]
