The CPU supported by your friend's motherboard is E5-2699-v3, not the E5-2673 v4.

Stop this. The 2673 is not supported on your board. Use a supported processor, and get rid of the 2673.

So? If you want to believe some 3rd party site rather than ASUS, be my guest. And, that site is talking about an X99-A board, not an X99-S board.
What you do not understand is that a processsor, to be supported, must be socket, chipset, and BIOS compatible.
